About Carraig Counselling
Carraig Counselling is run by Annmarie Condra BA (Hons) Counselling and Psychotherapy, MIACP. Annmarie is a psychotherapist (accredited with IACP), working in the field since 2012. Though I work with a variety of clients my passion is working with young adolescents (12-18 years). I have worked with clients facing a range of difficulties including but not limited to:
Anxiety
Depressions
Bullying
Panic attacks
School Non Attendance
Self Harm
Sexual Abuse
I work to provide a safe space for my clients to honestly talk about their problems and explore solutions. In working with adolescent clients I strive to involve the parents, in support of the adolescent.
I work in an integrative way, pulling together various approaches to suit the client I am working with. I always approach my work from a person centred position and bring together developmental, psycho dynamic, humanistic, attachment, existentialism and CBT, among other approaches.
I aim to help my clients gain insight into themselves and their ways of being to navigate adolescence from a developmental perspective. Please take a look at our guide for parents for more information on Adolescent Psychotherapy and what is involved.
